Shard Bishop was a Mutant and member of the X-Men. Shard was also a former NYC Detective.
Biography[]
Early life[]
Shard Bishop along with her older brother Lucas were both born in New York City, where they were raised by their parents. When Lucas was around the age of eleven, his father (who was a NYC cop) was killed by a robber. Lucas then dedicated his life to becoming a cop just like his dad, even after his latent Mutant abilities awakened.

After High School, Bishop joined the New York Police Academy, a few years later Bishop became a NYPD Detective.

Energy Absorption Shard was a mutant who could absorb ambient light particles from her environment and transsub them into blasts of raw concussive force.

Abilities[]
Shard was a trained police officer, skilled in the homicide branch. Shard has armed and unarmed combat training which has made him a devastating unarmed combatant, and a superb marksman with firearms, both heavy duty military and conventional guns.
Photokinetic Absorption & Projection: Shard's mutant abilities allowed her absorb ambient light particles from her environment and convert them in a variety of effects. This process was referred as transsub(ing).
- Concussive Blasts: She had the ability to send out powerful concussive blasts of photons that could do a considerable amount of damage which she dubbed her 'light force blasts'. She could project these from her hands and out from her body in a series of concussive bursts. Her light blasts were powerful enough to allow her to combust portals opened by Trevor Fitzroy.
- Laser Blasts: She was able to refine her light blasts into a thin thinned beams of light that act as skilled laser.
- Illumination: Shard was about to radiate the light she absorbed back into her environment - acting as her own light source and beacon.
- Enhanced Attributes: The energy Shard absorbed, like her brother, seemingly enhanced some of her own human attributes notably her already naturally excellent agile, stamina, and endurance. The level to which her powers enhanced her to are unknown, though possibly to Olympic record levels. Shard has also shown to be about to enhanced her blown her own physical attack enough to knock much larger human male several feet away.
Holographic Intangibility: Shard was a life form based on particles of light called photons. She could control her density at will, and uses this power to pass through solid objects.
Weaknesses[]
- Just like her brother, some energy types were more difficult to absorb than others and Shard can be overloaded by trying to absorb too much energy.
